The magic of transparency, chromatic fluidity

The magic of transparency, chromatic fluidity, and the noble art of Murano glass: the two-tone and filigree handles are masterful reinterpretations by the historic Venini glassworks, and those in cut, multi-faceted glass add to the Venezia line, the highly successful series of faucets designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez

It is an ambitious project, inspired by a blend of Italian design and craftsmanship in its most sublime form. The joint work of three masters – Fantini, Venini, and Studio Thun – creates a unique product that cannot be recreated industrially. The Venezia collection by Fantini is enriched by two-tone blown glass handles and filigree handles, masterfully reinterpreted by the historic Venini glassworks of Murano. And with handles in cut, multi-faceted glass. The top-quality craftsmanship of the glass makes every part of the sophisticated Venezia handles unique, with surprising chromatic effects and tactile depth. The chromatic variations enhance the exquisite look of the series, which evokes style, elegance, refinement, luxury, and the memories of historic Venetian traditions and surroundings

Two-tone and filigree techniques are both distinctive of ancient Murano glass art, which Venini has always created with unparalleled skill, producing unique pieces that magnify the quality and beauty of hand-crafted objects. All versions have a striking visual and emotional impact

The original Venezia series featured an iconic form and the stateliest colors of Murano history – cobalt blue, white, black, and red. It then further developed through the creation of a round, disk-shaped handle in transparent glass, solid with a beveled edge, and another with a tapered, horizontal shape that comes in black, a rare, exquisite color of glass. Three new families were then added to the design: two-tone and filigree handles made in collaboration with Venini; and cut, multi-faceted glass in various colors

Exquisite ornaments, the two-tone handles have a cylindrical shape, with pure, rounded edges that amplify the fluid effect of the two-tone combinations: aquamarine/green, amethyst/amber, and red/amber.

Little masterpieces of beauty and elegance, the filigree handles come in white and black, using an extremely elegant decorative technique that was perfected in the 16th century by the master glassmakers of Murano, who exported the technique throughout Europe. It’s made by incorporating straight or interwoven glass rods into a transparent body, creating a delicate lacy effect within the glass. The egg-shaped filigree handles, which come in black and white, are soft and sensual to the touch

Glass is also featured in a cut, multi-faceted cylindrical version that comes in sky blue, amber, and white and can be either transparent or opaque. The metal base, flush with the glass body, smoothly continues the multi-faceted texture
